There are two flavours of poker played at Foxboro Green.
"Charity Poker" is held twice a month. Buy in for chips with a nickel ante. Play "Kings and Little Ones", "Low in the Hole", High Spade Chicago", "Seven Twenty-Seven", "Deuces and Jacks", " The Man with the Axe", " A Pair of Natural Seven's Takes All" and many other variants. There is a three-bump limit, no check and raise. If you run out of chips, continue to play until you win a hand. The most you can lose is $10.
The remaining weeks in each month are devoted to poker of a more rigorous nature. One game (Seven or Five card stud, Three Card Draw or Texas Hold 'Em) is decided on by the group and played exclusively throughout the evening. No wild cards and no split pots. Buy in for chips with a dime ante. Table stakes betting. Check and raise. No limit on bumps. Players who cannot meet the ante withdraw. Ante increases by a dime for each withdrawal. The most you can lose is $20.
